Digital Enterprise

Digital Enterprise is an innovative new business support programme which helps eligible, growth-focused businesses, based in the Leeds city region, to scale up and achieve digital transformation.

The programme is partly funded by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund 2014-20), the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and by the 9 local authorities that make up the Leeds city region.

There are currently 3 strands to the Digital Enterprise programme, including;-

  • A Digital Growth Voucher – a grant worth between £2,000 to £10,000 to help eligible businesses invest in digital technology to achieve business growth and digital transformation.
  • A Connectivity Voucher – to help eligible businesses to upgrade their digital connection – worth between £500 to £1,000.
  • Free to attend workshops, masterclasses, digital conferences and mentoring support via our new Digital Knowledge Exchange service.

Please note, that eligible businesses can only apply for one of the interventions listed above.  This limitation is down to the way the scheme is funded, hence businesses wishing to take part in the programme need to carefully decide which strand to apply for. Find out more here.

Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Full fibre broadband connections offer the fastest and most reliable speeds available, and the government is committed to a vision of a full fibre Britain. As part of this commitment, in March 2018 the Government announced the £67m Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

Gigabit vouchers can be used by small businesses and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable connection. Businesses can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of connection either individually or as part of a group project. Residents can benefit from the scheme with a voucher worth £500 as part of a group project.
